School of Musical Traditions Showcase

School of Musical Traditions is proud to present a few of our adult ensembles in a benefit concert raising funds for the Justice Arts Coalition. This eclectic showcase will include sets from our Traditional Bluegrass Ensemble, our Folk Americana Band, and the SMT Jazz ensemble and all proceeds from donations will go to the Justice Arts Coalition.

Justice Arts Coalition, transforming art into a tool for advocacy, empowerment, and community building.

Justice Arts Coalition unites artists impacted by the criminal legal system and creatives everywhere to harness art's transformative power and reimagine justice. Through the sharing of resources, stories, and learning opportunities, JAC is building a nationwide collective of people who are committed to increasing opportunities for creative expression in carceral settings, amplifying the voices of those most impacted by mass incarceration, and shaping public dialogue around the intersection of the arts and justice.

JAC has remained a grassroots project throughout its recent transformation into a national 501c3 nonprofit organization.
