Ruthie and the WranglersTerri and the Back Alley Rhythm Cats

• Ruthie and the Wranglers - Don't miss this incredible night of twang, honky tonk piano, originals and retro favorites with full on harmonies and rhythms that rock. The band features—Ruthie Logsdon, Andy Rutherford, Bill Starks, Arch Alcantara and Tom Fridrich! 30 some years of twang (including recording, touring and Americana/Roots radio airplay) the band remains a cornerstone of the DC roots music scene. From original Americana Country to a rousing Surf instrumental or whisky drenched ballad, their clever lyrics, high energy and heavenly harmonies, set them apart from the rest.

Their Americana/Country roots and their unstoppable ENERGY is like "Loretta Lynn meets the Ramones at Dick Dale party!"

They’ve released 7 albums including a compilation of some favorites from their legacy of recordings entitled All Wrangled Up. Their lyrics were called by Billboard “nothing short of brilliant” and The Washington Area Music Association (The WAMMIES) has declared them emeritus after more than 30 WAMMIE wins including, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Country/Duo Group.

• Terri & the Back Alley Rhythm Cats - It's a Roots Rock and Roll stew that hits the spot.  You'll enjoy a starter of Rockabilly, a heaping portion of Jump Blues and early R&B, along with enough Soul for a delicious flavor—just like Grandma used to make! Danceable music for fun people drawing inspiration from artists like Wanda Jackson, Janis Martin, Patsy Cline, Ruth Brown, Varetta Dillard, Ray Charles, Wynonie Harris, Clarence Carter, Elvis, and Dusty Springfield. Leader and Vocalist Terri Burroughs originally formed the band in 2016 and has had the current lineup since 2019.  She has also spent time on stage with The Rock-a-Sonics, Ruthie & the Wranglers, the Thrillbillys, Karen Collins & the Back Roads Band, Daryl Davis and Lunch With Bob. She has been singing since 2015, when she suddenly discovered her ability to sing.  Who knew?
The fabulous Jason Byrd, an artist in his own right, expertly plays lead guitar.  He is unobtrusive but don't let that fool you—his solos are masterful and twisting. Veteran drummer Byron Williams has been with the band since 2017. (Chuck Underwood Trio and Dixie Power Trio, Jr Cline and the Recliners.)  Behind the drums, Byron has a huge presence and personality and just makes it easy for the rest of the band. Bassist Jerry del Rosso plays upright and electric bass, and frankly, we can't decide which we prefer.  Jerry has been playing in the area for several decades, and in all genres.  (U-Liners, Hollertown, American Tourister and more.)
