Kami Lyle & Friends

This is a seated event - Tickets are limited.

“Trumpet or Girl Scouts, pick one.” And so, on her ninth birthday, Kami Lyle waved goodbye to the scouts and bolted for Schmitt’s music store, setting her on a musical journey that led from Minneapolis to Nashville and beyond. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, she found her voice in singing and songwriting. In Nashville, she made waves at The Bluebird, landing deals with Criterion Music Corp. and MCA/Universal Music.

Her debut album, "Blue Cinderella" produced by Hugh Padgham, earned critical acclaim and VH1 airplay.

Kami loved Nashville but it didn’t have an ocean, so she and husband Joey Spampinato moved to Cape Cod. Her underwater iPod is currently bursting with Lizzo, Tom Waits, Carole King, Stevie Wonder, Chet Baker, and NRBQ.

A seasoned singer-songwriter, her tracks have graced screens big and small, and she's shared stages with luminaries like Shawn Colvin and Lyle Lovett.

Kami Lyle and Friends (Joey Spampinato of NRBQ; Barbara Blaisdell and Tim Utt of Sensible Shoes) were honored to be invited to perform at The Continental Club for the South by Southwest Conference & Festival in Austin, TX. They have a blast performing together and are thrilled to becoming to DC!

Joey Spampinato is a multi-instrumentalist and was a founding member and bass player of NRBQ.He played bass on many albums, including Keith Richards' album Talk Is Cheap and Bonnie Raitt's "Fundamental", and was one of the bassists on Eric Clapton's "24 Nights" in 1991.

He appeared in the film Hail, Hail Rock N’ Roll, with rock legends Chuck Berry and Keith Richards.

Spampinato's songs have been covered by Bonnie Raitt, Shakin' Stevens, She and Him, Darlene Love, Penn & Teller, Los Lobos, and many more.
