David Kitchen is a songwriter and guitarist who is restlessly active in the local music scene. He plays and sings, originals and out of the ordinary covers, in a totally approachable, energetic way. The Washington Post called his music “a mixture of charm, attitude and tunefulness” and the Washingtonian magazine remarked, “he has a knack for writing clean pop driven rock with just enough soul and grit”. He has won several awards from The Washington Area Music Association (Wammies) including Songwriter of the Year and Best Pop Vocalist. David regularly continues the DC tradition of playing a wide variety of music with his own group as well as with The Thrillbillys, The Cahoots and Swell, and can be seen at fine venues and dive bars alike.

A stellar outfit will be joining David: Arch Alcantara on guitar/vocals, Colin Sidley on bass/vocals and Wil Cameron on drums.

Acoustic, electric, eclectic. Jelly Roll Mortals is a pop-rock-country-folk-R&B band; a group of seasoned musicians who play a deep catalog of originals and cover tunes. For 15 years, the band has performed around the Washington, DC area as anything from a two-piece to five-piece, acoustic or full-on electric. Band members have played together in various combinations going back for more than 40 years. Past and current bands in which they’ve played together include Last Train Home, The Linemen, The Neighbors, Naughty Pine, and Exit 10. As songwriters they have had their songs played by several other bands. Cover tunes span the years from the early 20th century to the early 21st century. Individually, members of Jelly Roll Mortals have won several Washington Area Music Awards and been nominated for many more. In addition to shows in which they play their own material, JRM and its members have participated in numerous tribute shows with other local artists.
