Tommy Lepson & the Anacostia Delta All-Stars

• Tommy Lepson Tommy Lepson started performing professionally at age 14 and has appeared with many national acts, from the Kinks to Captain Beafheart, to the Fabulous Thunderbirds to NRBQ, The Righteous Brothers,The Spinners and Chuck Berry. Tommy has toured and recorded with the infamous Root Boy Slim, the Assassins (with Jimmy Thackery), and DC’s own: the Soul Crackers. Tommy has also recorded with Nils Lofgren, the Night Hawks, Danny Gatton, Tom Principato, Jerry Portnoy (Eric Claptons Blues All-stars), Bonnie Bramblet, Duke Robillard and Kim Wilson (T-Birds), Johnny Neel (Allman Brothers Band) and Dave Chappell. During the Clinton administration, Tommy and his band performed three times at the White House. In addition, Tommy has won over eleven WAMMIE awards from the Washington Area Music Association.

• John Previti Award-winning bassist John Previti grew up in the Southern Maryland-D.C. area during the early sixties, immersed in the region’s bubbling cauldron of musical styles: swing, country, jazz, R&B, soul and the roots of rockabilly. He was famed Washington, DC guitarist Danny Gatton’s bass player for eighteen years, from 1976-1994. John’s first recording as a leader, “Swinging Lullabies For My Rosetta” (Mapleshade Records) has received tremendous reviews. Other recent recordings include a Tribute to Danny Gatton with Big Joe Mayer and Joe Stanley, and a swing session with John Cocuzzi, Alan Vaché and Big Joe. Over the years, John hass won a number of awards for his rare talent. These include WAMA "Wammie" awards for Musician of the Year, Instrumentalist of the Year, and Album of the Year.
