The first Saturday of each month Big Howdy hosts a showcase featuring a special guest!
This month features: Bryan Deere
Bryan Deere Singer and rhythm guitarist Bryan Deere hails from the Washington, D.C./southern Maryland area. At the age of nine, he attended a bluegrass festival with his father at the “Take It Easy Ranch." That is where the bug bit. The hard-core 1950’s Washington, D.C.-style bluegrass sound has been the driving force behind his musical prowess. He has had the pleasure of playing with such greats as Buzz Busby, Frank Wakefield, The Stonemans, Tom Mindte and the Patuxent Partners, and other great east coast bands. His tours include playing in Australia, Ireland, Bulgaria, Holland, and Amsterdam, to name a few. Whether the song is a honky-tonk tearjerker or a country favorite, his expressive and powerful singing is pure and true to the roots of the music.
The Big Howdy Band will host the show from 5–7:30 p.m. Bryan will join them for one set with the help of Tom Mindte on mandolin.
