Ashesh aka "Himalayan Hendrix" featuring Jay "Funk" Carter and Ramadan

Ashesh aka “Himalayan Hendrix” an international Blues musician from Kathmandu, Nepal. He has toured in 11 different countries and more than 12 different states in the USA and Headlined many music festivals including Alamar 2007 Music Festival, Spain; Edinburgh Mela 2011, Scotland;  Herzberg Festival 2011, Germany; Fauskivalen Music Festival, Hemsedal, Norway 2010/ 2011 and 2016, and many more.  Norwegian and German press gave him the Title “The Himalayan Hendrix” during his Europe tour in 2010. He was awarded by Colorado Music Business Organization, Colorado, USA for his contribution to music and social work in 2015. Nominated for Hits FM Music Award in 2010 and 2016 in various categories. He also served as Judge in many musical competitions including Battle of the Bands, UK in Nepal. Have also worked as a music teacher in the School of Rock, Maryland, USA, and have published 6 music albums. 


On September 3, 2022, Ashesh released his sixth album “All Those Beautiful Dreams” in the Theatre of Rastriya Naach Ghar Theatre, Kathmandu, Nepal. This album reflects his exploration of Blues and his journey in the United States between 2017 and 2020. He has been touring in the USA and already performed in California,Washington, Texas, and North Carolina with the support and love shown by our Blues communities and music lovers. Ashesh is also going to Headline “Best Dam Blues Fest 2023” this September in Milwaukee/Thiensville, WI.

James "Jay Funk” Carter is an American music producer and drummer from Baltimore, Maryland. “Funk” became interested in music at an early age, following the footsteps of his father, James Carter Sr., a music production, song-writer and recording artist. Jay says “to me… I look at music and sounds, and the possibilities like Karate… you can study but you can never say You KNOW!! And because of that I am always a student.” 

Ramadan is an American professional bassist based in Baltimore,Maryland. He has been playing bass in professional stages for over two decades.His prominent in genres of blues and funk as well as other various styles of music.
